Tim Bit Tales

Colin turned four on Saturday and boy was it a big day! It was his first day of Tim Bits soccer. For those of you who aren't familiar with Tim Horton's (and I wasn't until my sister moved to Columbus) it is a restaurant chain started in Canada (I think Tim Horton was a hockey player?) and they serve breakfast and lunch and are now owned by Wendy's. They are really big around here and a Tim Bit is a donut hole. Anyway, Tim Bit soccer is like preschool soccer on the Dublin Soccer League. At Colin's age there is just one practice/game per week and Colin's is Saturday morning at 9:15 AM. We signed him up with our neighbor Cole down the street so they get to play together and we get to hang out on the sidelines with their family, fellow Hoosiers and IU grads! Colin's team doesn't even play other teams yet, they just practice skills and then scrimmage against each other. Colin LOVED it and even scored the first goal of the game...in the correct goal! Wow, what a proud Mama and a happy birthday boy. Here's a few pics from his first game.

  1. Aww--way to go, Colin! How exciting! And how great that his league is named for a donut hole. :) That's hilarious.

Lewis is doing pre-pre-pre-preschool soccer after school one day a week. No uniforms, no games, just working on skills, I think. :) I might have to go sometime just to see the chaos in action.
