Mother's Day 2013

I had a very nice Mother's Day. My first as a Mama of three. My original request was to go on a picnic but Mother Nature threw us a bit of a curve ball with a chilly day.  So we enjoyed a day inside instead.  My celebration really started with the Favorite Gals Night at Colin's preschool on the Wednesday evening before Mother's Day.

Check out some of the highlights from this nice event below:

Bonus Points for Colin...he thinks I'm 23!

All the special things they made for their Favorite Gals

On Mother's Day Keith and Colin made my favorite pancakes - banana chocolate-chip.  Everyone enjoyed my choice!  Then I opened gifts and cards.  Keith and the kids made me a very special picture frame.  They painted a wooden frame from Michael's and then decorated it with their finger/thumb prints.  They framed a picture of them wearing their M&M shirts and each child made their prints with the color matching their M&M shirt.  Bonus points to Keith for thinking of this, buying the materials at Michael's, and orchestrating this! He also made one for both grandmothers.  Keith also got me a really nice canvas beach bag from Lands End with my monogram on it (which is MOM) and a matching beach towel.  Perfect for our upcoming Michigan beach vacation.  For dinner Keith made me spinach and mushroom enchiladas and mojitos...two more of my favorite things!
