Colin, you are one today! Happy birthday to our dear, sweet little boy. We can't believe a year has gone by already since you came into our lives. You have filled a space in our hearts that we didn't even know was there. You have changed so much in such a short time that we can hardly believe it. You are feeding yourself, drinking by yourself, and taking a few steps on your own. You understand a lot of what we say to you and you even try to talk back sometimes. You have a wonderful easy-going personality and you are funny and sweet. Everyone that you meet is smitten by you! We are filled with emotion as we think back on this past year and to the events of a year ago today. We love you more than anything in this world. Here's to you sweet baby boy.

And you're so right. Having a baby is like finding out that you've been missing something you didn't even know you didn't have! I think Chris says to me at least once a week that having Charlotte has been the best thing we've ever done. And he's right. And darn it if I'm not crying again. :)
