Lions, Tigers and Baby Elephants, Oh My!

Yesterday Ms. Krystal needed the afternoon off so that she could take her daughter to a college orientation. We decided to both take off and take Colin to the zoo! It was sunny and a little chilly and there were no crowds whatsoever. It was a great day to be there! We had so much fun with Colin. His reactions were wonderful! His favorite was a huge manatee exhibit that also has other large animals (sea turtles, sting rays, and large fish). He got very excited whenever anything would swim up close to him. The other highlight was a tiger that was pacing right up against the viewing window. If the glass had not been there, Colin could have reached out and petted him. I had never seen a tiger so close before; it was really neat! We loved our afternoon at the zoo with our little boy. We can't wait to keep doing fun outings like this with him as he gets older.
