Chicago, here we come!

We traveled to Chicago this past weekend for Aunt Heather's baby shower. We stayed with Keith's brother Jeff and his wife Erica in Naperville. It's about a six-hour drive to their house without a baby. Colin did so well in the car! He slept for at least three hours of the trip in both directions. The rest of the time he played happily with his toys. It took us about 8 hours on the way there but we met Grandma and Grandpa O for lunch at Cracker Barrell so we had a nice long break. On the way home it only took six and a half hours!

This was the first time that Colin had met some Aunts, Uncles and cousins so it was a really fun and special trip. He hung out with all the men in the family helping to work on Uncle Jeff's deck that he is building while I got to have fun with the ladies at the baby shower. After the shower the whole family got to hang out and enjoy the beautiful weather and each other's company. It was a very successful trip and now we are just anxiously awaiting the arrival of Baby Peanette!
