Colin is already two weeks old! His second week has been so much smoother than the first. His Meme and Pop Pop (my parents) came and visited him last Monday and Tuesday. They loved meeting Colin and were a great help to us - bringing us lots of good food and helping us take care of the little guy. Keith went to work on Tuesday while they were here with me. Other than that, he took the rest of the week off. We had our first real outing on Wednesday and went to Babies-R-Us for the things that you don't really realize that you need until the baby actually gets here. Colin slept through the whole thing! After that we picked up some take-out lunch for us. The rest of the week was pretty low-key. On Friday we went to my sister's house while the cleaning people were at our house. She fixed us a fantastic lunch and we enjoyed hanging out. We took some long walks in the stroller and in the baby carrier. We walked for some sandwiches and gave Colin a couple of sponge baths. We watched three movies over the weekend, albeit in bits and pieces. Keith went to the store yesterday for a bunch of snacks and good food for us (and of course diapers). I'm down to one pound over my pre-pregnancy weight already so maybe I should be eating more? Unfortunately, even thought my old pants now fit, none of my tops seem to as my weight has been (ahem) redistributed.
Keith went to work this morning for a half-day and will continue to work half-days through Thursday. Friday will be my first day all alone with Colin. This coming weekend his parents are coming for an overnight visit. We are all looking forward to that!
He goes in for his second doctor's appointment tomorrow so hopefully they tell us he's gaining enough weight. Stay tuned for an update!
