Well, I'm still here waiting and posting! I had my 39 week doctor's visit yesterday morning. Still no changes....the doctor told me I'm still 2 cm dialated and 50% effaced. His heartbeat is staying steady at 150 beats per minute and I've gained about 28 lbs. I've been having some contractions but nothing regular or very intense. Keith and I have walked at least 2 miles every evening this week trying to move things along, but Colin will know when it's time and we're content to wait for him to let us know (although it's hard).
The great news is that today is my last day of work and I'm actually working from home today. I had a good last week of work (the cooler temps kept my feet and ankles looking almost normal) but I'm happy to be home now, focusing on getting mentally ready for Colin's arrival. I don't have much to do to get ready for him physically (I will work on his baby book) but I'm sure I can find some things to occupy myself if he decides to stay put for awhile longer. I'm looking forward to the three day weekend ahead and just spending some time relaxing with Keith. We have our neighborhood block party on Sunday that I've been planning and it looks like I'll probably be around to attend it as well.
The Okrzesiks have put together a pool betting on when Colin's date and time of arrival will be. Winner takes all and stands to win $80! So that's a fun way to add even more excitement to the big day.
Happy Labor Day weekend everyone and happy anniversary to my parents who have been married 44 years today!
