My First Mother's Day

Well, I certainly didn't expect so much attention on Mother's Day this year. I am in a rather gray area of motherhood so I wasn't sure how my status as a Mother would be interpreted. But judging by the number of cards and gifts that I received, a pregnant woman deserves motherhood status!

I had a great day. Thanks to everyone who sent cards, gifts, and well wishes; that was so incredibly thoughtful!

Keith got me a gift certificate good for two pedicures at a salon in town since he noticed last time I tried to paint my toes that it was pretty difficult with a big belly in the way! He also made me blueberry pancakes for breakfast. I also got a darling Sweet Pea children's book from Heather, personalized pregnant woman note cards from Erica that are just too cute, and a beautiful "Eternal Embrace" mother and child necklace from Mom.

Wow, I just feel very loved! Happy Mother's Day to everyone!

  1. Sounds like a fantastic Mother's Day! Pedicures are the best when you're pregnant - until you realize that the little Vietnamese girl doing your nails is also pregnant and due any day now and doesn't have gargantuan feet like you do. WTH? Yes, this actually happened on Saturday when I went with my mom. No, it still was really nice. I wish you could have been around for the shower too, but alas, at least we have our blogs through which to live vicariously! :)
