Colin is a Guppy!

Colin finished Preschool Level 1 swim lessons last weekend.  He is now officially a Guppy.  He did well and only had a couple episodes where he didn't want to get in the pool or was scared to do an exercise.  The class was for 3-5 year olds and I think he was one of the younger ones in his group of 5 although you couldn't tell it height-wise!

I was surprised by the amount of skills that he actually learned during the 8 week course.  His improvement from beginning to end was definitely apparent   Keith and I took turns taking him on Saturday mornings.  There are two more courses as part of the Preschool program.  He can't begin the next set of lessons until he is 6 so we'll probably space out the next two courses over the next couple of years.  Our neighbor Rachel was diving off of the diving board at age 5 after having taken these courses so maybe Colin will do the same.

Watch him dive off the side of the big pool and pop right back up on his last day!
