Fall Fun

We had a busy and fun weekend. Erin and Lindsey, our friends from San Diego, came and stayed with us on Thursday night. It was a short but very nice visit. This year Lindsey and Colin could actually interact and play together and they both enjoyed each other's company. Lindsey is such a sweet, cute, and smart little girl. It was a joy to have her around. The best parts were her excitement over wanting to take a bath with Colin and her new fish and then when we asked her what her Daddy's name was and she said, "MIIIIIIIKE!" Too funny. It was so great to see them both and we wish we could see them more often! Here are some pictures from our visit.

Then on Friday my parents came up for the weekend. We had a nice dinner at my sister's house. She and the boys got out all of their old Little People toys (and there were a lot) and set it all up in their living room for Colin. He had a blast! On Saturday we all went to a pumpkin patch. It was unseasonably warm (around 85) so the crowds were thick but we still had a fun time. Colin went on a hay ride and played in the corn sand box. We hung out on our deck on Saturday afternoon, enjoying the nice weather and playing games. It was a relaxing way to spend an Indian summer day.

Playing in the corn box (so much less mess than a sandbox!)

Colin enjoyed the hay ride and was good the whole time!

Good thing we brought the wagon!

  2. What fun pictures of Colin and Lindsey! Yeah, I totally love the idea of the corn box. Way better than sand. Hmm... wonder if they have any of those nearby...
