O'Krzesik Fest 2010

This past weekend we had Keith's family in town for O'Krzesik Fest 2010! Why the apostrophe? Because this is Dublin! Sometimes when people hear our last name and don't see it spelled, they ask if it is Irish. So just a little play on words.

Anyway, this was the second gathering of the Okrzesiks in Dublin (the last one was in 2008). And it was our first time meeting Baby Olivia! She is precious. She is a really good and sweet baby and even slept through the night both nights she was here! It must be that good Ohio fresh air! It was a great weekend all around. The weather cooled off into the low 80s and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. We really couldn't have asked for better weather. Especially since we all ventured over to the Dublin Irish Festival which was also going on. We had a fun time there - Olivia slept for almost the entire time and Colin just sat pretty contently in his stroller (it helped that we kept feeding him goodies like ice cream).

We went out for pizza on Friday and enjoyed our new spot in Marysville called Benny's which has a huge patio and great pizza. We had a cookout on Saturday and Colin tried meat for the first time! He enjoyed his chicken apple sausage. Colin got his birthday present early from his aunts and uncles - a beautiful red Radio Flyer wagon! Thank you so much!

It was a fun weekend and it was so great to see everyone and be together with the next generation of Okrzesiks. Our only sad spot was that Auntie Erica couldn't be there!

  1. Hahaha about the O'Krzesik. That's pretty funny. That would have never occurred to me in a million years.

    Sounds like a great weekend.

Erin was over at Amber's, so Charlotte and I, and Elizabeth and Samantha went over and got to visit. The one thing that would have made it complete was if you were there. :(
