6:15 AM - Daddy and Mommy tiptoe into my room to turn on my monitor and peek at me asleep in my crib. Sometimes I've done a 180 or turned onto my tummy...I may or may not have an arm pushing out through the slats. They shower and get ready for the day while I catch a few more zzzzz's.
7:15 AM - Mommy or Daddy get me up for the day. I yawn and stretch and try to wake up. I give them big smiles because I'm so happy to see them.
7:20 AM - I eat my breakfast while Mommy eats her Powerbar, drinks her cup of coffee and watches last night's American Idol, Grey's Anatomy or The Real Housewives of Orange County. Daddy leaves for work and kisses both of us bye-bye.
7:40 AM - Ms. Krystal arrives to take care of me (usually while Mommy is changing my diaper). They talk about what Ms. Krystal and I are going to do that day and how I slept the night before. Mommy gives me big kisses and then leaves for work.
8:00 AM - Ms. Krystal and I sing our "Good Morning" song. She talks to me about the day ahead and we may look out the window at the snow, rain, or sunshine. We lay the blankie out on the living room floor and play and play. We might read a book, paint a picture, or practice rolling over. I might sit in my Bumbo for awhile and look at my picture albums of people who love me.
9:30 AM - I go down for my nap because I'm worn out. Ms. Krystal rocks me to sleep and I sleep for about an hour. I call out when I'm ready to get up again and Ms. Krystal gets me dressed for the day.
10:30 AM - Time to eat! First I get my Vitamin D -yum, I sure do like that stuff. Then it's on to the good stuff. It has been either rice cereal, sweet potatoes, or butternut squash so far. I LOVE those sweet potatoes. I cry real tears sometimes when they run out (but now they give me more). Ms. Krystal washes my face and brushes my hair (including my bald spot).
11:30 AM - Mommy comes home!! I am so happy to see her. I eat my lunch while she and Ms. Krystal talk. Then I sit in my bouncy seat by the table while Mommy and Ms. Krystal eat their lunches.
12:30 PM - Mommy goes back to work. Ms. Krystal and I go for a walk if it's nice enough. Or we might take a trip to the library or Barnes & Noble to look at books. I like going on field trips with Ms. Krystal.2:00 PM - I take my afternoon nap. Sometimes this is a long one because I'm so tired from the busy day I've had with Ms. Krystal.
3:15 PM - I wake up smiling because I know I get a bottle when I wake up! Ms. Krystal warms up by bottle and I can barely wait. One time I fell asleep again while she was giving it to me.
3:30 PM - Ms. Krystal and I play some more. We might use my activity mat or exersaucer. She's teaching me some sign language so we might work on those for awhile. I'm learning a few important words like "more" and "all done." I might use my cell phone to call Peanut (my cousin who will be born this May).
4:45 PM - Daddy comes home from work! I am so happy to see him but I'm also a little sad that Ms. Krystal is leaving for the day. I know I'll see her again soon though. I like the special one on one time that I have with Daddy. We listen to music and play in the living room together. We might do some dancing.
5:15 PM - Mommy comes home again! Man am I happy to see her. I don't like her to leave the room once I've got her in my sight. I eat a snack while Daddy starts dinner. Once I'm done eating, we play together while Daddy finishes up the cooking.
6:00 PM - I sit in my bouncy seat and chew on my keys while Mommy and Daddy eat supper. Soon I'll be eating a meal around this time too. I give them smiles and blow bubbles.
6:30 PM - Play time with Mom and Dad! This is my favorite time! We play my favorite games - Airplane, Peek-a-Boo, and Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes. I show them how I can roll over. We laugh and cuddle.
Wow, Colin! Sounds like you're having a pretty fun time with Ms. Krystal. Maggie - you have such a cute and sweet baby. It's hard to tell, but I'd have to say that I see a lot of you in him! :)
