Diaper Bags and Rythmic Movements

We purchased a diaper bag this weekend. This one was recommended by Erin (in fact it might be the exact one that she has). She recommended the Skip Hop brand because of its clips that allow it to easily attach onto a stroller's handles (and the Maclaren stroller that we registered for doesn't have a huge storage basket). I pretty much let Keith pick out the design and color that he would feel comfortable carrying (as he said the brown looked too much like a purse) so here is what we decided on:

Cute huh? I think it seems pretty roomy...lots of space for the 12 diapers and 4 changes of clothes that the instructor of our class on Saturday told us we should carry! Is that excessive?

In other news, I have read about being able to feel your baby hiccuping in utero. I have seen it described as "rythmic movements." Well Sweet Pea has definitely been affected by some rhythm! We first felt the hiccups Saturday evening. We were watching Lost (our summer pasttime) and I paused it so Keith could feel. I have also read that hiccups are usually fleeting so they may pass before someone else can feel them. Not Sweet Pea. His lasted and and lasted. It's pretty funny actually. And then today again at work I felt that familiar rhythmic bumping that lasted for a quite awhile. And whoever talks about a baby kicking is really not referring to what you feel post the 6 month mark or so. After that you experience much more than kicks...it would be more apt to talk about the baby doing sumersaults, stretching, poking, leaning, and twisting, with a few chorus line kicks and hiccups thrown in for good measure!
