Oh man, the summer is going by quickly! How can it be almost the middle of July? It has been a fun summer so far and everyone is thoroughly enjoying themselves. I just don't want it to be over too fast!
We made a summer bucket list again this year and we've managed to cross a few items off of it so far like a trip to Utica, Ohio, to visit the Velvet Ice Cream factory, restaurant and museum. We love going there. It is such a pretty drive and a great way to spend an afternoon.

We did a backyard cookout on Thursday evening (another item on the list). This consisted of roasting hot dogs (and veggie sausages) over the fire and cooking some already pre-cooked corn and sweet potatoes in foil packets on the fire pit. Keith says fire pit cooking is easy when things are pre-cooked! Of course we finished with s'mores.

We've done 1 trip to the pool so far and Keith and the kids did a trip to the bunny fountains (also on the list).
And we're trying to hit as many local dairy bars as possible this summer. So far only one so we need to get moving on that one!
Some other summer events included a trip to Orlando for me for a work conference in early June and a trip to Grandma and Grandpa's for Keith, Colin, Julia and Caroline while I was away. The girls also got their first haircuts and Colin has been attending some fun summer camps. So far he's done a sports camp (basketball, baseball, and soccer), a Fun in the Sun Camp, and a Wacky Week camp. He has really enjoyed them all!

And then of course we enjoy regularly getting out the baby pool, sprinkler, and water table and just enjoying our own back yard "water park" as Colin calls it.
Over the 4th we went to Indiana. I am really starting to love the 4th of July. It's the height of the summer but yet there is still plenty of summer left. I love red, white and blue things (especially creative desserts) and of course fireworks. We spent 1 night with Keith's parents and one night with my parents and still had one night at home and Sunday before having to start the work week again. It was a very fun and relaxing way to spend the 4th. And the weather was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. It was chilly enough in the mornings for long-sleeves and the days were sunny but not hot or humid. Gorgeous!

Sounds like you're having a great summer so far! Have you already gone to Orlando? I'm going to Orlando for a conference as well, but not until mid-September.
