| Ready for Bath Time! |
In less than a month, these sweet babies will be a year old! At this time last year I was on bed rest, anxiously awaiting their arrival. They have added so much joy and light to our lives. We just can't imagine our family without them. We were very nervous about having twins. Would there be any health issues? Would they have to stay in the NICU? How would we manage having TWO babies at once? Would we ever get any sleep? But they have pleasantly surprised us at every turn with their how sweet and easy going they are. How did we get so lucky with these two?
They are moving more with their walkers these days - getting faster and a little better at steering. We just introduced them to whole milk today. We're going to gradually wean them off of formula over the next month. We looked back and determined that we bought 36 containers of formula over the duration of their formula drinking. At $21 a container (from Sam's Club) that is a total of $756. Not too bad actually for two babies. Going the generic route certainly saved us a lot.
The weather in Ohio has finally turned warmer (March was cold except for maybe 1 nice day). We still are having a few chillier days sprinkled in. Thursday it was in the 80s and we were in shorts with the A/C on. Friday it was cold and we had on sweats and the heater! We've been getting ready for the summer - doing yard work and making plans for getting the deck stained, etc. It is a nice change of pace!
Unfortunately another wave of illness has swept through the house. I have a VERY bad cold that keeps hanging around. Luckily the kids' version of it has been more mild. We will all be so happy when these germs go on summer vacation!
We're planning for the girls' first birthday in less than a month. We're doing a rainbow theme!
