33, That's Me

I celebrated my thirty-third birthday on November 2.  It was a Friday this year, my favorite day of the week.  I had a very nice celebration with my family.  Keith and Colin made me a pumpkin cake with a cream cheese glaze.  This was a new recipe that they picked out themselves which I thought was pretty brave and resourceful of them!  Keith took all three kids to the store to buy ingredients which is a feat itself.  The cake turned out beautifully and tasted great too.

We went to BJ's for some good beer and pizza and all of the kids behaved themselves.  We like going there because they have big semi-circular booths that we can put the girls' car carriers in along with the rest of us.  I remember thinking when I found out we were having twins that we'd never be able to go out to dinner again!  Although when we have to pay for three kids' meals, that may be true.  Pizza joints only.

I got some nice gifts including new winter boots and a new IU shirt (go Hoosiers!)  Keith's Mom also bought be new charms for a bracelet she had bought me previously, one for Julia and one for Caroline.  It looks nice and full now.

I couldn't have asked for a better birthday.  And it's not over yet!  My sister is taking me out for a birthday sister date in a couple of weeks for dinner and wine tasting.  Yea!

Colin tries on my new boots to see if they fit

Now they've switched sides.  Caroline on the left and Julia on the right.
