Our little man had his first day of preschool today! It was a shortened day and parents were supposed to attend with their child. I worked from home this morning so that Keith could take Colin. It was a big success! Colin liked his teachers and his classroom. The first thing he told me when they got home was about the train table and that they had TWO Butch the Cranes (friends of Thomas the Train). Friday will be his first full day of school by himself and that just also happens to be his birthday! Normal school hours are from 9-11:30. Poor Keith is going to have to bring in Julia and Caroline when he drops off Colin in the mornings. When we enrolled in this school we thought they offered a drop-off service but they have since cancelled it. Luckily I'm going to pick up Colin on my lunch hour and bring him home on days I don't have a conflict. That will at least save Keith one trip. He goes every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Keith has been having more success lately getting Colin to nap (although not today). He's probably taking more like 4-5 naps a week now. I have to give Keith major props. It is through his sheer will and determination that Colin naps at all. I would have given up by now but Keith stays at it and it is paying off! Hopefully most days preschool will wear him out enough that he'll fall asleep easily. Today it seemed to have the opposite effect!
So glad to hear that his first day (with Dad) went well--I hope today is great for him, too!
