One Month Stats

Julia and Caroline had their one-month check-ups today and they are both doing great!  No problems besides a bad diaper rash on Julia.  Poor thing, the skin is actually broken a little bit.  The doctor gave us a few ideas to try like letting her bottom air out daily and patting the area dry after every diaper change.

Here are their stats:

Caroline:
Weight: 8 lbs, 12.8 oz (50th percentile)
Height: 21 inches (50-75th percentile)
Head: 37 cm (75th percentile)

Julia:
Weight: 9 lbs (50th percentile)
Height: 21.25 inches (50th percentile)
Head: 37.3 cm (75th percentile)

So our little darlings are definitely chubbing up!  They are in the 50th percentiles of the normal scale (when we first took them in right after birth they were using the premie scale).  Not bad for twins, not bad at all.  Now that they are over 8 lbs we can start trying the Baby Bjorn and Moby wraps that we have!  That will be nice for our evening walks.

They are outgrowing some of their newborn clothes but aren't yet ready for 3 months either.  A few things that we have say 0-3 months and those seem to fit well.

They got their second Hep B shots today too and handled them well.  Good job girls!

  1. So glad to hear they are chubbing up so nicely. :) I didn't realize there was a minimum weight on those carriers!

Hope Julia's bottom heals up soon. How was the first road trip?
