This week the fluid levels were much closer together and the doctor said I could come back again in two weeks like usual so we were thrilled! The babies continue to grow at the same rate and are weighing in at 1.5 lbs each these days. That puts them in the 50th percentile for twins at this stage - we get all kinds of cool stats with these in-depth ultrasounds that they do. Their organs look perfect and they are moving all around. My cervix is nice and long (no signs of opening). I get cervical ultrasounds too. Right now Baby A (closest to my cervix) is head down and Baby B is breech. But during the 22 week ultrasound Baby B started breech and was head down by the end of the session! So these girls are definitely still moving a lot.
24 weeks with the jelly beans
It's official. I am huge. Two co-workers at work this week said to me, "Wow, you are getting big!" Thanks, like I don't know this. I think I look about 34 weeks pregnant, not 24 weeks. What on earth am I going to look like at 34 weeks??
We are coming along on our to-do/to-buy list!
We got a mattress for Colin and have a headboard on order. We bought a used double snap-n-go stroller, a used My Brest Friend nursing pillow for twins with an extra cover, a used Baby Bjorn, and a used second exersaucer all from the same lady who also has twins that I found on the twins classifieds. We also found cribs that we like and have two of them! The closet is all painted and Keith put in the new closet door and a few more shelves. Now we just need to buy another chair for that room and start setting everything up.
My wonderful and talented friend Nancy is making me bedskirts and curtains for the nursery which I am so excited to see. It has been very fun picking out fabric and working with her on this project so far. I can't wait to see the end results.
So that's where we are at 24 weeks!
So, so glad to hear the fluid levels are almost the same for both girls. That is terrific news. And that they're in the 50th percentile--perfect! You look great!
ReplyDeleteAlso, happy to hear that your to do/to buy lists are getting tackled. That is great that you were able to get so much from one person. And that your friend is making your bedskirts and curtains!
Let us know if we can help out i.e. assembling furniture. I really like doing that and would be happy to help! Looking forward to seeing you guys!
You look fantastic!!!!! :) So glad that everything is looking good!!
ReplyDeleteI think you look great - you're clearly all belly! It is really amazing to see the difference between a singleton and a twin pregnancy.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're doing well and that the twins are thriving. I'm sure whatever Nancy makes will look amazing. :)
Seriously, Maggie! Are you still fitting into your regular jeans??!! I'm kinda jealous. =) Since I carry so low, my pants are the first thing to get switched out for maternity. You look absolutely wonderful! I agree with Stephanie, you are definitely all belly!
ReplyDeleteIt's great to hear that the girlies are doing so well!
