Door Man

I had to show off the great work that Keith did over our time off in between Christmas and New Year's this year. He put in a door in the bonus room over our garage that will become the twins' nursery. This room has two entrances - one is a normal entrance with a door from the upstairs. The other is a staircase leading down to the area by the garage door entry. This staircase used to be wide open with no door. See below:

It was a big project. Keith had to move the lightswitch that is visible in the picture on the left side so there was electrical work. He had to stain and varnish the door and the trim pieces - multiple coats of each. Then he had to put in the drywall at the top and a little bit on the sides too and mud it. And finally there was priming, painting, and installation. It took most of the week but now it's done and the girls will have a door! He did a great job and saved us a lot of money.
