Happy Father's Day!

Today is Keith's first Father's Day! It has been a pretty low-key day so far. I made him some blueberry waffles for breakfast. He got a couple of cards and I bought him a very practical "dad" gift - a smart strip so he can save us some money and help make the world a little greener for Sweet Pea. He's spending the rest of his day installing some new bathroom faucets!

Yesterday we finished a project so I thought I'd include a few photos. I got this idea from my friend Nancy J's blog (thanks Nancy). One day she posted a picture of a painted dresser that was so cute and since we needed a dresser for Sweet Pea I started thinking about if I knew of any old dressers that we could paint and fix up. I remembered the one that I had used in college and that my Mom had taken once I moved to Cali and painted for her house. I asked her and it was only being used for storage up in their garage loft so we took it! Keith painted it a green color that matches the mural on Sweet Pea's wall and he painted the knobs white. Yesterday I painted polka dots on the knobs using the wall paint color and the dresser paint color. I think it turned out really cute (and only cost us a quart of green paint)! Now I'm busy washing clothes to fill it up!
