It was a rainy day (and also Colin's last soccer game of the year) but because it wasn't raining too hard or blowing sideways, we were able to be out on the screened porch and not have to be cooped up inside the whole time. The porch was finished in mid-April and we've been working on painting and decorating it. Now that is pretty much done and it is just time to enjoy it! We love having the outdoor space as another living area and place for the kids to play.

At three the girls are a lot more fun and sometimes a lot more work. They exert their wills now and while they are mostly easy-going, they are sometimes well, not. We definitely get more whining and melt-downs now than we ever have. But they say the cutest things and definitely enjoy playing with each other. Their bond is very special and they don't like to be too far apart. They usually hug on each other at least once a day and say things like, "My Sweetie!" It's pretty darn cute. They love My Little Ponies, Legos, playing kitchen, reading books, and swinging or doing anything outside. They made their transition to big-girl beds very easily a few weeks ago and we haven't had any issues with them getting out at night time. Nap time is usually not very successful, especially for Caroline. Miss Julia will still nap a couple of times a week. We plan on tackling dual potty training when we get back from Hilton Head in mid-June.
They definitely look up to their big brother and Julia and Colin seem to pair off more than Caroline and Colin do. Although most of the time the three of them play all together. We definitely see that trend increasing as they get older.
Next year they will start preschool three days a week at the preschool that Colin just graduated from and he will move on to Kindergarten. They will all three be gone in the afternoons so Keith will have 3 free afternoons a week!

Here are their stats from their 3-year check-up. Julia continues to be bigger:
Julia
Weight: 33 lbs (73%)
Height: 38.25" (79%)
Caroline
Weight: 32 lb (65%)
Height: 37.25 (57%)
They are happy, healthy, sweet girls and we just feel so lucky to be their parents!
