It's been a week since we got back from our first trip to take Colin to see the beach and the ocean. We went to Captiva and Ft. Myers, Florida for a five-night adventure. We had direct flights to Ft. Myers both ways and Colin did great! He slept for half of the two-hour trip both coming and going. Unlike our trip to Cali, this time we didn't buy him his own seat and that turned out just fine. The trip was a success although not without its share of hiccups. The main ones being that Colin, myself, and Uncle Jeff all got a touch of the stomach flu while we were there. However, we did our best not to let that ruin our trip and it helped that the germ was quick to come and go. Colin loved playing in the sand more than venturing into the ocean. He did like the pool although he wasn't quite as brave in it this year as last which is surprising. Here are some shots that sum up our trip. Enjoy!
Colin is ready to start building a castle!

Colin likes long walks on the beach!
Everyone gathers at this bar on the beach to watch the sunset and enjoy some frosty beverages. Colin and Olivia's main mode of transport is visible here!

Our last night in Florida was in Ft. Myers in a hotel - Colin's first hotel stay! He looks pretty excited about that porta-crib!
