Can You Tell the Difference?
Notice anything different about these two photos? That's right. The second photo is lacking that ever-so-attractive drying rack and it's friend the beautiful bottle warmer. Both of those items have been a permanent fixture on my countertop since about December of last year.
And now they are hidden away in cupboards in my kitchen. And why is that? Because I no longer pump at work and Colin no longer gets a daily bottle!!! Hooray! So that means no daily washings of pump parts or bottles and no need for a drying rack or warmer. As he transitions to more and more solid foods and less milk, the first feeding to go was his after-nap bottle in the afternoons. Krystal said he was losing interest in it anyway so we gradually trasitioned him off of it over the course of a week. Now he gets a snack after nap instead, lucky guy! I'm still breastfeeding him at breakfast, lunch, dinner and bedtime but no more expressed milk and no more pumping, at least not on a regular basis. I couldn't be happier! Time to go put the pump away in a closet somewhere.

Congrats!!! I couldn't imagine having to pump at work... I know you do what you have to do, but I'm sure this new way of life will suit you just fine! :)
ReplyDeleteYou're so lucky to be able to come home everyday.
ReplyDeleteUggh, I can't wait until Charlotte is done with bottles. They're just soooo annoying to wash now that we're done breastfeeding. But the good news is that we don't think it will be too long before we can give up bottles entirely. Hurray!
